Final version of "anthomania"

Different backgrounds

This and the next image show my experimentation with different backgrounds for the Scrapiteria theme "Manias". Occasionally, when I have trouble deciding on the background, I lay out my compositions on the scanner (no gluing at this stage) and scan them to see if the images work well together and which version is better. In this case, I thought that the background was too busy so I decided to go with a much simpler background (see next image).

The experiment

This collage was made for a temporary Scrapiteria theme "What's on the other side of the door".  This collage may not look like much but it actually uses many different sources of paper. I would really like to incorporate more mystery into my collages, especially in the sense that the interpretation is left completely to the viewer. I think that this collage goes a little way towards that.

How the tortoise really won the race

For Scrapiteria theme "Aesop's Fables".  The moral of the story is: rules are meant to be broken (or at least bent a little).

Forgery

Another collage for the Scrapiteria theme of the week "Crime". The stick figure, house and scribbles on the piece of paper are all my own work! Yep, that's about as skillful as my drawing gets. If I could draw or paint I would likely incorporate those aspects into my collages. 

Disorganised Crime

I've been a bit slack posting my work here.  This collage was made for the Scrapiteria theme "Crime". The images come from 4 different sources (background, penguin, penguin's hat and the guys with the guns). I played around with different "victims" including a cupid but settled for the penguin because he not only looks ridiculous but also looks as if he is mocking the guys who are about to shoot him.  They're about to discover that he's the wrong guy (i.e., an inanimate object).
